WHO-GMP sourcedOverview
Exporting pharmaceuticals from India to Africa
RND Industries is an Indian pharmaceutical merchant exporter supplying finished formulations — tablets, capsules, syrups, drops, sachets — and surgical disposables to importers, distributors and tender agents across Africa. We source from WHO-GMP certified manufacturing sites and handle the commercial export of the goods. We do not manufacture, we do not file registrations, and we are not the marketing authorisation holder in any market — the registration is yours to make. Where your regulator asks for a document, we request it from the manufacturing partner supplying your product and forward whatever that site can issue.

What your registration involves
- Most African authorities register on the ICH CTD format, filed by you as the importer.
- A Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product (CPP) in WHO format is commonly requested as part of that file.
- ZAZIBONA is the collaborative review procedure used across several SADC member states.
- Some authorities additionally ask for a Free Sale Certificate or manufacturer’s undertakings.
- Anglophone markets expect English documentation; francophone West Africa expects French.

Answers
Africa export — frequently asked questions
How do I import medicines from India to Nigeria or Kenya?
Send your product list, quantities and target market. RND Industries quotes within 24 hours from WHO-GMP certified sources. The import licence and the product registration with NAFDAC, PPB or your national authority are yours to obtain — we are a merchant exporter, not a regulatory agent, and we do not file on your behalf. Tell us what your submission needs and we request it from the manufacturing partner supplying your product, then confirm on the quotation what that site can issue.
Which African ports do you ship pharmaceutical consignments to?
We quote FOB from Hazira (Surat) and Mundra, with Kandla and Nhava Sheva on request, to Apapa and Tin Can Island in Lagos, Tema, Abidjan, Dakar, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Beira and Durban. Air freight through Lagos, Nairobi and Addis Ababa is arranged for urgent consignments.
Do you support product registration in African markets?
No — RND Industries does not provide registration or regulatory-affairs services, and does not file with NAFDAC, PPB, TMDA, FDA Ghana, EFDA or SAHPRA on anyone’s behalf. The filing is yours as the importer. What we can do is ask the manufacturing partner supplying your product for the documents your submission calls for, and forward whatever that site issues. Nothing is promised before the manufacturer confirms it.
