WHO-GMP sourcedOverview
Exporting pharmaceuticals from India to Latin America
RND Industries supplies finished pharmaceutical formulations and surgical disposables from WHO-GMP certified Indian manufacturing sites to importers and distributors across Latin America. LATAM filings are documentation-heavy: authorities expect Spanish or Portuguese translations, apostilled originals under the Hague Convention, and — for several markets — a GMP inspection or recognition step at the manufacturing site. Those are the importer’s filing and the manufacturer’s inspection; RND Industries is neither. We handle the commercial export and ask our manufacturing partner for the documents your submission calls for.
Markets we quote into
- Brazil
- Mexico
- Colombia
- Peru
- Chile
- Ecuador
- Bolivia
- Paraguay
- Guatemala
- Dominican Republic
What your registration involves
- LATAM authorities register on the ICH CTD format, filed by you as the importer.
- A Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product (CPP) in WHO format is commonly requested as part of that file.
- Documents usually need apostille under the Hague Convention, or consular legalisation where the destination is not a member.
- Dossier and commercial documents are expected in Spanish or Portuguese.
- ANVISA and COFEPRIS filings can require a GMP inspection or recognition of the manufacturing site itself.
Authorities you file your registration with
RND Industries is a merchant exporter, not a regulatory agent. We do not provide registration or compliance services and we are not the marketing authorisation holder in any of these markets — the filing is yours as the importer. The list below is market information so you know who you are dealing with. Where your submission needs a document from the manufacturing side, we request it from our manufacturing partner and forward what that site can issue.
- ANVISA · Brazil
- COFEPRIS · Mexico
- INVIMA · Colombia
- DIGEMID · Peru
- ISP · Chile
Logistics
Shipping routes and ports
Indicative sea transit is roughly 4–7 weeks depending on the routing and transshipment hub — Latin America is the longest lane we quote, and order planning should assume it. Air freight is arranged for registration batches and urgent consignments. Actual transit is confirmed per shipment at quotation.

Documentation, to your requirement
- Tell us which documents your market and your regulator ask for.
- We request them from the manufacturing partner that supplies your product.
- Whatever that site can issue for your product, we obtain and forward.
- The confirmed document list is written into your quotation before you order — we do not promise paperwork the manufacturer has not agreed to.
Commercial terms — Latin America
- Quotes on FOB, CIF or DDP terms, in USD.
- Spanish and Portuguese artwork, cartons and patient inserts coordinated with the manufacturing site.
- Registration and stability batches supplied ahead of commercial volumes.
- Longer lead times built into the quotation so stock cover matches the lane.
Answers
Latin America export — frequently asked questions
How do I import medicines from India to Brazil or Mexico?
Send your product list, quantities and destination market. RND Industries quotes within 24 hours from WHO-GMP certified sources, and arranges apostille or consular legalisation of the shipping documents. The ANVISA or COFEPRIS registration is yours to obtain and both can require an inspection of the manufacturing site itself — RND Industries is a merchant exporter and cannot open those markets alone. Tell us what your submission needs and we ask the manufacturing partner supplying your product.
Do LATAM authorities require an apostille on export documents?
For Hague Convention member states, yes — originals are typically apostilled. Where the destination is not a Hague member, consular legalisation is used instead. We arrange whichever chain the destination requires for the shipping documents we issue; anything originating with the manufacturer is requested from that site.
How long does shipping from India to Latin America take?
Indicatively 4–7 weeks by sea depending on routing and transshipment, to ports including Santos, Manzanillo, Veracruz, Cartagena, Callao and San Antonio. Transit is confirmed per shipment at quotation, and air freight is available for sample and urgent consignments.
